This makes the average over the last five years 4.42% which is in line with the inflation rate in North Texas. A lot has happened in 5 years. On the positive side, in 2021 the Association reduced assesments by -9.38% by slashing excessive and wasteful spending by CMA Management. It also paid down ~75% of its debt. On the downside, the Associations in North Texas were been hit with substantial insurance increases in 2023 and 2024 and we all faced a 41-year high inflation rate (peaking at 8.9% in 2024) that drove a 24.8% increase last year.
