Privacy Gate Update

The new gate system is in testing mode. If you experience problems getting in, use the access code 12345 at the console. This code is temporarily posted on the console for visitors.

Currently, the north TollTag reader and the access code keyboard on the console are operational. In this very basic mode, the system is the functional equivalent of the prior system.

We are opening the new system in phases to minimize startup problems. This is a completely new system (cellular vs. Internet), a new database, and a new phone app. This step-by-step phase-in will, hopefully, allow everyone to come up to speed and minimize backups at the entry and frustrations. It will allow sorting out of any inaccurate information provided by owners, correction of programming or database errors by the setup team, and optimization of the TollTag system electronics settings. It will also allow everyone time to come up to speed with the new phone app.

The rear gate is still operating from FOBs.

Updates will be posted here.

Please report any problems that you are having in the comments section below so that they can be resolved in group discussion.

How do I log in to the new gate opener?

    1. You can use the system like the old one right now. Visitors can call you from the gate and you can converse with them. Push 9 to let them in. Hang-up if you want to refuse entry. There are many more features if you download the app on your phone. It is called “CellGate Mobile”. It looks like the blue photo in the article. More will be posted on the app as we continue the rollout. Right now the focus is on the TollTag reader.

The gate app is amazing!! It’s a huge leap forward in technology. When my visitors call up from the kiosk, their face and vehicle automatically pop up on my iphone. The image and voice are clear. I can give them directions to my condo, or tell them I'll be waiting outside.

For everyone who hasn't yet had time to set themselves up and are using the basic dial-up (voice only) configuration, I recommend putting (972) 231-1999 in your contact list and label it "LBT Front Gate" so you will know when you are receiving a gate call.

    3. Where do we get an app? I haven't received anything about an app that I am aware of. Also, when will the gate system be fully set - there is a note on the front gate with a generic code for everyone to use so hopefully that will end soon??

    4. Ok - we got the app partially downloaded but it is asking questions we aren't sure how to answer - "which device"??? "watchman W410" "watchman W450"???

    5. The rollout is being done in phases. It took several days to work out the kinks in the hardware. The database work wasn't completed and circulated until around 10PM last night. Resolving both is critical to making the app easy to set up.

The next step will setting up the app. We have completed test runs with a few resident and worked out the bugs. We will publish information on that on Sunday and help members starting Monday.

To answer your specific question, selecting ""watchman W410" "watchman W450"" is not required for setting up the app.

    1. The link is at the top of this page. See "Security Update". The automatic file created by the form creates a source document for troubleshooting. We are not taking profile information by email as it would be to search through emails. Thanks for working with this.

  3. My toll tag is working but my password (which says above is the last 6 digits of my toll tag) isn’t working to let my family in. Please advise. Thanks.

Safety profiles were emailed yesterday. Your private password is on it but it is not the last digits of the TollTag. The system limited the passcodes to 5-digits. The passcodes are based on the TollTag number, but are not the last five digits

After confirming the tag numbers were correct and in the database, I contacted the manufacturer. They said that many Jaguars have Solar Attenuating Windshields that reflect certain wavelengths of light. These types of windshields also reflect RFID (TollTag) waves. There are many discussions about this on the Internet. As a next step, I would contact Jaguar to see where exactly a TollTag needs to be placed to avoid this.

My Tolltag has not been working at the front gate. Is this supposed to work in the back gate? How do I find out my code for guests? Best, Matt

    4. License Plate TollTags (LPT) are available for problematic vehicles. NTTA has published a list of those vehicles needing LPTs plus other vehicles that require very specific windshield locations for the TollTags to work. That information is here: https://www.ntta.org/custinfo/faqs/Documents/Special%20Vehicle%20List%20for%20website.pdf

    5. Relocating TollTags that were not opening the gate to the intended location on the windshield as specified by the car manufacturer has resolved these issues.

    6. Four vehicles (of 140) experienced this problem.. Relocating the TollTag to the manufacturer's designated location on the windshield resolved the problem .
