Pool may open by Memorial Day

Every effort is being made to open the pool by May 1st as a reading pool and Memorial day as a swimming pool. This is an aggressive timeline and assumes that there are no weather or materials problems.

Dennis Bellotto and team have been working diligently to bring the facility back online after the freeze damage and with a commitment to do it economically. This is a repair effort, not a remodeling project. The tile, coping, and decking will be fully repaired, but will remain the same color and style. The Increte Spray Deck will be repaired. The landscaping will also be repaired.

Work began this week. The team is looking to recycle some brick and tile for the BTCC pool that is being closed down. The pool is the same design as the LBT pool.

  1. The coping and tile work, as well as the expansion joints for the pool decking are being done by the LBT bricklayer (i.e. Alfonso Ibarra).
  2. The pool crack repair and re-plastering will be performed by PoolPros (more information).
  3. The landscape and irrigation repairs will be completed by Steven's Landscape (the LBT landscaper) and Waterboy (or irrigation contractor). Felipe and Marc and repair and re-plastering will be constructed by PoolPros (more information).

An insurance claim was filed on February 19th with Princeton Excess and Surplus Lines Insurance Company (New Jersey) for the damages.

PoolPros was an easy selection. Tthey currently service the Lakes of Bent Tree Pool every week, have a long history with CMA, and provided the best bid from the seven that were solicited;  Lewis Pools and Spa, Integrity Pools, Tropix Pools, Swimming Pools Repair Services, Signature Pool and Patio, and Pacific Pool Plastering

*Progress will be updated in the comment section below. A Memorial Day weekend opening is an aggressive target date. If there are any complications or bad weather that date will slip.
